This policy explains what personal information Westmoore Recruitment collects, why, what we do with it, and the rights you have over it. It covers candidates, clients and anyone who visits westmoorerecruitment.co.uk.
Who we are
Westmoore Recruitment is a trading name of Better Business Expert Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 07090303). Our registered office is 18 Oriel Close, Walkington, Beverley, East Yorkshire, HU17 8YD.
We are the data controller for the information described in this policy. That means we decide how it is used and we are responsible for keeping it safe.

What we collect
If you are a candidate
We collect the information you give us through our website forms, by email, by phone or in person. This usually includes:
your name, email address and phone number
your CV, work history, qualifications and skills
your current salary, salary expectations and notice period
the kind of role, location and working pattern you are looking for
anything else you choose to tell us in a message or conversation
If you go forward for a role, we may also hold interview notes, references, right-to-work documents and the results of any assessments you agree to complete.
We may also find your professional details on networking sites such as LinkedIn, where you have made them public. If we do, we will tell you where we found them when we first contact you.
We do not ask for sensitive information such as health, ethnicity, religion or sexual orientation. If you share it with us, for example to ask for adjustments at interview, we only use it for that purpose and only with your agreement.
If you are a client
We collect the names, job titles, email addresses and phone numbers of the people we work with at your organisation, along with details of the roles you ask us to fill.
If you visit our website
Our website is hosted by Framer. Framer’s built-in analytics count visits, pages viewed, traffic sources and device types without using cookies or identifying you. See the Cookies section below.
How we use your information
UK data protection law requires a lawful basis for each way we use personal information. Here is what we do and the basis we rely on.
What we do
Lawful basis
Review your CV, talk to you about roles and put you forward for jobs you have agreed to
Legitimate interests (running a recruitment service) and taking steps you have asked for before a contract
Keep your CV on file and contact you about future roles
Your consent, given when you submit a form. You can withdraw it at any time
Run assessments you have agreed to take
Legitimate interests, with your agreement to take part
Check your right to work and keep the records employment agencies must keep
Legal obligation
Work with clients and fill their vacancies
Legitimate interests and our contract with the client
Invoicing and accounts
Contract and legal obligation
We will never send your CV or details to an employer without telling you first and getting your agreement for that specific role.
We do not sell your information. We do not use it for marketing unrelated to recruitment. We do not make automated decisions about you. Assessment results inform a hiring conversation and are never used on their own to rule anyone out.
Who we share it with
Employers. With your permission, we share your CV and relevant details with the employer for a role you have agreed to be put forward for.
Service providers. We use a small number of trusted providers to run the business. They only process your information on our instructions:
Framer B.V., which hosts our website and receives form submissions
Google, which provides our email and document storage
Thomas International, where an assessment you take uses their platform
our accountant, for invoicing and statutory accounts
Others where required. We may share information where the law requires it, for example with HMRC or the Employment Agency Standards Inspectorate.
International transfers
Some of these providers store information outside the UK, including in the European Economic Area and the United States. Where they do, the transfer is covered by UK adequacy regulations (including the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework) or by contract terms approved for UK transfers.

restrict how we use it while a concern is being looked into
